Our fees are built on a sliding scale: the longer you stay, the lower the weekly rate. Everything on this page is what you pay to us — no booking commission, no hidden line items appearing later.

- Shared volunteer accommodation in Kokrobite
- Airport collection from Kotoka International Airport (ACC)
- Welcome orientation and introduction to the local team
- A named Crowdwave contact person for your whole stay
- In-country support throughout your stay
- Preparation and task matching with our programme team
- Certificate of completion on request
What it does not cover
- Flights to and from Accra
- Ghana tourist visa
- Travel insurance
- Vaccinations (a yellow fever certificate is required to enter Ghana)
- Food, snacks and beverages — the accommodation is self-catering
- Daily transport between the accommodation and the project site
- Personal spending and weekend travel
Budget separately for daily transport between the volunteer accommodation and your placement, and for food — the accommodation is self-catering, and fresh ingredients from the local market are inexpensive. Our team will walk you through realistic day-to-day costs before you book.
Where the money goes
Hosting a volunteer costs real money: your accommodation, your airport collection, and the time our local team spends preparing your stay and supporting you while you are here. What is left over goes into the same pot as every other contribution — the programmes themselves, which stay free for the students who take part.
